Seele, Carl Schurz named to Texas Honor Roll

2016 Texas Honor Roll LogoNew Braunfels ISD was recently notified that Carl Schurz Elementary and Seele Elementary were selected by Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Institute for Productivity in Education (IPE) to receive the title of 2016 Honor Roll school.

This year, the Texas Honor Roll includes 727 public K-8 and high schools that are recognized for demonstrating consistently high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps.

“Our schools work diligently to serve all of our students and awards like these showcase the hard work that goes into educating our diverse population,” said Randy Moczygemba, superintendent of schools. “The level of teamwork that goes into this type of success is admirable and we applaud our campuses for receiving this designation.”

The Honor Roll is part of a national effort to identify higher-performing schools and highlight successful practices that improve outcomes for students. The Texas Honor Roll program is made possible by generous support from numerous businesses and organizations and is based out of Sacramento, Calif.

“School and school district leaders have a great opportunity to find out what’s working at these Honor Roll schools and replicate it,” said Jim Lanich, ERP President and CEO.

These schools will receive a banner to display at their campus and will be featured on the ERP website. To view the full list of the Texas Honor Roll schools, CLICK HERE.
