NBHS athletes to compete at collegiate level

A total of four seniors from New Braunfels High School signed letters of intent today to play for the college of their choice next fall. The student-athletes’ teammates, family and coaches joined them for the official signing ceremonies at the school.


Abigail Adams signed her letter of intent to play golf at the University of Texas - Arlington (UTA) located in Arlington, Texas. UTA is a Division 1 university in the Sun Belt Conference. Adams athletic honors include being a four-year varsity letterman; named 1st team All-District for three consecutive years; 1st team All-Region; Academic All-District; Academic All-Region; Academic All-State and a three-time New Braunfels Junior City Champion. She is the daughter of Robin and Rustin Adams.


Hannah Jacobs signed her letter of intent to play volleyball at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. SMU is a Division 1 university in the American Athletic Conference. Jacobs’s athletic honors include being named 27-6A First Team All-District 2016; Academic All-District; 2017 TAVC All-Texas 5A/6A Pre-season Team; Texas Girls Coaches Association All-Star; 27-6A District Champions and Bi-District Champions 2017;  Area Champions 2016; PrepVolleyball Senior Aces; San Antonio Express News Game Ball and Player of the Week recipient. Jacobs was also a three-year letterman in girls basketball being and was named named All-District and Academic All-District. She is the daughter of Nika and Steve Jacobs.  


Patrick Kudelka signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Sam Houston State University. Sam Houston, located in Huntsville, Texas, is a Division 1 university in the Southland Conference. Kudelka’s athletic honors include being named All-District Second Team Pitcher. He also played basketball his freshman year. He is the son of Adam and Maria Kudelka.


Lindsey Toney signed her letter of intent to play volleyball at Abilene Christian University (ACU). ACU, located in Abilene, Texas, is a Division 1 university in the Southland Conference. Toney’s athletic honors include being a varsity letterman for three years; named 2017 27-6A District and Bi-District Champions; Regional Quarter Finalist 2016, Area Champions 2016, Bi-District Champion 2016, District Champion 2016, Area Finalist 2015, Bi-District Champions 2015; Co-District Champions 2015. She was also named 27-6A All-District second team in 2015 and 2016 and MaxPreps Player of the Match on August 9, 2016. Toney is the daughter of Gaye McCoy and Darrin and Melissa Toney.
