New Braunfels High School 2015 Graduation

On May 28, approximately 650 high school graduates walked the stage during the New Braunfels High School Commencement Ceremony at Texas State University’s Strahan Coliseum.

 

The ceremony featured the class officers and Top 10 graduates from the class in several speaking roles including the opening sentiments, graduation address, and closing sentiments.

 

This year’s salutatorian, Mariah Sanders also give an address followed by the class valedictorian, Connor O'Toole.


Ceremony Viewing

This year’s graduation ceremony was streamed live online on www.nbisd.org. The live stream could be viewed on all Apple and Android capable devices. The live stream began 15 minutes before the start of the graduation ceremony.

The ceremony can also be viewed on Time Warner Cable Channel 98 after June 5 at 8 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m., and 6 p.m.  The graduation video will also available for purchase after June 8 by calling 830-643-5780 or by emailing info@nbisd.org. The cost is $10 per DVD. Summer offices hours are Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Aug. 14, 2015. The offices will also be closed on Fridays during the summer.

Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Connor O'Toole, NBHS Class of 2015 Valedictorian

Connor O’Toole is a member NBHS National Honor Society, a National AP scholar, and an AP Scholar with Distinctions. He played football and was on the track and field team. He participated in DECA Club, Science Olympiad, Physics Club and the RBFCU Youth Advisory Council. He volunteered for several organizations including Kids Club, Habitat for Humanity, Heart of Hope, the NB Public Library, NBPC Youth Praise Band and the NBPC Service Activities.  He will attend UCLA and major in Mechanical Engineering. He is the son of Sharon and Kevin O’Toole.

Mariah Sanders, NBHS Class of 2015 Salutatorian

Mariah Sanders is a member of the NBHS Monocera Dance team serving as Major, District Representative of the Student Council, National Honor Society chapter President and Science Olympiad Team Captain. She participated in New Braunfels Youth Leadership along with A Cappella Varsity Choir, Physics Club, and the Outdoor Recreation Club. She will attend Colorado School of Mines this fall to study chemical engineering. She is the daughter of Gene and Cindy Sanders.
