Unicorn Athletics Weekly Roundup 12/12/16

Unicorn Basketball

After winning The Battle of the Bay tournament, the Unicorns hosted the River City Classic this past weekend. They landed in the Silver Bracket and lost the title round in overtime.

Next game will be Dec 16 at 7 p.m. when they face Churchill at home. Keep up the good work, Unicorns!

Lady Unicorn Basketball

The Lady Unicorns had a little break after stampeding over Alamo Heights on Dec 6 with a score of 47-11. Their next two games are both away games, as they will face Lee on Dec 13 and Clemens on Dec 16. Lee start time begins at 7 p.m. and Clemens start will be at 6:00 p.m. Good luck, ladies!

Our Unicorns are swimming this weekend competing against Smithson Valley at the Northside Natatorium at 9 a.m. Good luck; we can’t wait to see more school records broken and medals brought home!

Unicorn wrestling boys claimed 2nd place at the Roughrider Invitational this weekend competing against 38 teams. We hear they took on a tough Reagan team (they have won every tournament entered so far this year) and gave them a run for their money until the very end. Proud of you Unicorns!

Our girls continued on their winning ways with Gabby Hernandez claiming Champion title and Leilani Vital as runner up. Way to go girls!

Their next tournament is the Hill Country Classic at Vista Ridge High School on Dec 17.
