Unicorn Athletics Weekly Roundup 01/24/17
Boys Basketball

Unicorn basketball came out victorious against Smithson Valley last Friday. The team is vying for a playoff berth even in spite of being plagued with various injuries throughout the season. They face Judson tonight at 7 p.m. in the Unicorn gym. Good luck!

Girls Basketball

The Lady Unicorns travel to Converse to face Judson tonight at 7 p.m. Good luck, ladies!

Girls Golf

Lady Unicorn golf finished 2nd at the Marble Falls Mustang Invitational held at Horseshoe Bay this past weekend. Isabel Amezcua finished 2nd overall and Abby Adams finished 3rd. The ladies second round team score of 317 was the 3rd lowest score in school history! The ladies are set to compete at Landa Park on Feb. 6. Congratulations, ladies!



Who knew unicorns could wrestle? At the Hurricane Classic, several Unicorns came home with medals and even a trophy! The varsity boys came home with 5th-place and the varsity girls brought home the 2nd-place trophy. Our top male finishers were Preston Jimenez – 5th, Logan Jackson – 3rd, Parker Rivers – 2nd, Anthony Parra – 3rd, Bryce Marsh – 3rd and George Marsh in 4th.  With a team of four girls – our top female finishers were Chloe Gaona – 5th, Gabby Hernandez – 1st and Leilani Vital also in 1st.
