NBHS Student of the Month
October 2023
NHS member Jordyn Meier has attended NBHS since her sophomore year, and has been a member of Student Council for her entire high school career. She is the current president of the German Club and has been a HOSA member as a junior and senior. Her GPA is 4.0.
Jordyn volunteers at Kirkwood Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and is currently enrolled in the Certified Nursing Assistant and Phlebotomy certification course, as well as the Pharmacology course to receive a Pharmacy Technician certification. She has been employed by Walgreens since 2021.
Jordyn plans on earning a degree in Nursing and Psychology and attending nursing school to become a Registered Nurse. Her long term goal is to become a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse. Her parents are Kary and Jennifer Gipson.
Ethan Dolch & Family
NBHS Student of the Month
October 2023
Senior Ethan Dolch has attended NBHS for 4 years, and is a member of the National Honor Society. A musician in NBHS Marching Band, he is also a member of TFME - Texas Future Music Educators - and the National Society of High School Scholars. Additionally, he participates in the Saint Peter and Paul Youth Program.
Ethan has been accepted to the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University. His father is Bryan Dolch.

Kate Windrow
NBHS Student of the Month
September 2023
NHS member Kate Windrow has attended NBHS since her freshman year. She is captain of the Girls Varsity Golf Team, a Varsity Golf four-year letterman, and a member of the Academic All-District in Golf for 2021-2022 and All District 27-6A 1st Team in 2022-2023.
Kate is a Mid-Texas Symphony Debutante for 2023-2024, a senior leader for Young Life organization, a TBarM camp counselor and is a part of the Oakwood Student Ministry. For TBarM, she received the 2023 Devoted and Kind Award in, the 2021 Thoughtful and Joyful Award and the 2020 Faithful and Joyful Award for Outstanding Character. She is also a Unicorn Handler during her senior year.
Kate has volunteered for many other organizations as well, including the Humane Society of New Braunfels Area, Habitat for Humanity, Heart of Hope and the Canyon Lake Animal Shelter.
Kate plans on attending the University of Texas to study business with a minor in fine arts, hoping for a career in fashion design and ultimately owning her own business. She will be involved in the Young Life organization in Austin as well as continue missionary work and travel the world. Her parents are Zach and Malissa Windrow.
Ryder Rutledge
NBHS Student of the Month

Senior Ryder Rutledge has attended NBHS for 4 years, is a NHS member and a Student Ambassador for the NBHS Business, Finance, and Marketing Program. He is a team member of the NBHS Varsity Baseball - 2 year Letterman, Team Captain, Unanimous First Team All-District, Academic All-District, Team Spirit/ Leadership award winner, Teammate of the Year award winner and a Team Bible Study Leader. A Team USA Baseball Finalist, Ryders other baseball accolades include 2022 & 2023 Texas Rangers Area Code tryout selection, New Balance Future Stars Elite showcase 2nd round selection, Best in the US National MLB Showcase selection, Best in the US Showcase Top Performer, and Five Tool All-Academic Team
Texas Premier State Tournament All Tournament Team.
A leader/officer of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for 3 years, Ryder has been a Volunteer Youth Baseball Instructor, a Young Life Wyldlife leader, a member of the Oakwood Student Ministry, a Heart of Hope volunteer with Oakwood Baptist Church, a Miracle League volunteer and a TBarM Camp Counselor, where he was named Top Counselor. He also volunteered for the Mi-7 Discipleship program and the Kanakuk Kamps, winning the Most Outstanding Leader Award by his peers and counselors.
Kaalum plans on playing baseball in college while earning a degree in Christian Ministries and Business Administration. After college, he wants to attend the Kanakuk Institute and follow a career in ministry, plus follow in his father’s footsteps as a speaker and writer. His parents are Jamie & Clint Rutledge.
