New Braunfels ISD has launched a newly designed website featuring stream-lined navigation, greater accessibility, and improved tools to discover the district’s resources and happenings.

In the midst of New Braunfels’ unprecedented growth (New Braunfels grew 56% over the past decade according to the U.S. Census), New Braunfels ISD saw the need for an improved website that offers a warm welcome and accurate first impression to current and potential families searching online for schools.

“With a foundation beginning as far back as 1845, New Braunfels ISD is and continues to be a district with heritage rooted in tradition. We wanted to capture this story in an innovative way by opening a virtual door into our school district and our individual campuses,” Rebecca Villarreal, the Executive Director of Communications for New Braunfels ISD, said.

With the redesign, each campus now has its own page and dedicated discover tab that allows better navigation and exploration of each school.

In addition to a fresh appearance, the new site also includes features that allow for a better user experience overall, including desktop and mobile-friendly viewing, a stream-lined search engine, an improved calendar and directory, and the capacity for viewing the site in multiple languages.

The updated calendar can be filtered by schools, fine arts and athletics, allowing parents to easily check events and happenings at their child’s campus.

The district has also gone to great lengths to ensure that the website is accessible for all - providing inclusive practices to ensure there are no barriers that prevent interaction with the website when viewed by people with disabilities, impairments, and limitations.
