Facility Rentals

The New Braunfels Independent School District provides cafeteria and gym space for community use after 6:30p.m. on days when school is in session.

Current Board Policy GKD shall govern all non-school use of facilities.

We are in partnership with the City of New Braunfels for the use of the middle school fields and they have exclusive use of them for youth sports when not in use by NBISD.  The City does sublease the fields to outside groups, if availability allows.  Please contact The City of New Braunfels Parks & Recreation Department for more information.

Rental Requests must be emailed to Brenda Garrett at bgarrett@nbisd.org and are processed in the order they are received.  Please do not contact local schools or district employees requesting available dates/times.

The following are required to be on file at the NBISD prior to facility use:

  • A refundable deposit of $500.00 if wireless mic is requested.
  • The organization liability insurance coverage of at least $500,000.
  • A Facility Use Agreement listing the rental details, date(s) and location.  This form will be emailed to the user after the facility and staff availability are verified by the District designee.
  • The organization’s 501c3, if non-profit.

Upon receipt of the emailed Rental Request, you will receive an email confirmation and we will begin processing your request.  It may take up to fifteen (15) days to process the request.  Once availability has been confirmed, a Facility Use Agreement and Invoice will be created.  The signed Agreement, COI, rental fee, and refundable deposit (if applicable) must be in the district’s possession at least ten (10) business days prior to the rental.
