Due to wet field conditions, the NBHS JV and Varsity Softball game at Clemens High School scheduled for today, April 6, 2023, has been cancelled. At this current time, a reschedule date/time/location has not been set. 

NBISD Athletics will send out an update once information is available.

Due to the rainy weather forecast, the Unicorn Relays (field events and running events) have now been CANCELLED. This meet will not be rescheduled. 

Track will practice after school per normal schedule.

As of NOW this game has been rescheduled for Friday, April 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM.

New Braunfels vs Reagan Scrimmage

New Braunfels Football Season will officially get kicked off this weekend with  Varsity, JV and Freshman scrimmages against Reagan!

The scrimmages will happen Saturday, August 12th with the Varsity Scrimmage beginning at 9:00 AM and the JV/Freshman Scrimmage beginning at 10:30 AM.

Shuttle service to the scrimmages will be available from Oakwood Baptist Church. NBISD shuttle buses from the church will be begin at 7:45 AM and will run until the end of the scrimmages at 12:00 PM. The shuttles will drop off in front of the field house.

There will be limited parking on site. Please note the parking map to review the handicap accessible parking area and other available lots.

There will be no cost for admission but NBISD Athletics will be collecting in support of “Our Day to Shine” – with all proceeds of our scrimmage donated to the THSCEF Benevolence Fund to assist athletes and coaches going through hardships.

We would appreciate any donation you can give! You’ll be making a contribution to a great cause. You can donate via Venmo @THSCAcoaches. In the “What’s it for?” box put your school and sport!

The NB All Sports Booster Club will have bottled water for sale to help keep you cool!

We can’t wait to see all of our fans in Unicorn Stadium on Saturday! GO BIG BLUE!

NBHS Dance Camp Awards

New Braunfels High School's Monoceras and Mystics Dance Teams attended HTE's Team Training Camp on July 24th - 26th in San Antonio! The students worked hard and performed for the first time as a team while learning custom routines. 

Students also tried out for the camp's academy teams. NBHS had a total of 18 dancers make Dance Academy and 21 dancers make Kick Academy, and the Monoceras were awarded the camp spirit stick on the final day!

The NBHS volleyball team were recently awarded the US Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Awar

The New Braunfels High School Lady Unicorn volleyball team had a stellar season on the court and in the classroom in 2022-23. As a team, the ladies were recently awarded the US Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award.

This award was earned by only 1,333 collegiate and high school teams spread across all divisions in the United States.The Lady Unicorns performance in the classroom showed as the team maintained an overall grade-point-average of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.

The AVCA, an educationally based nonprofit headquartered in Lexington, KY, is the largest and most diverse volleyball coaches' association in the world. With a broad mandate to develop the sport, the AVCA provides leadership, recognition, advocacy, and professional development opportunities to over 8,200 volleyball coaches. Members include college, high school, club and youth coaches, as well as a wide variety of product and service providers.

Five members of the 2022-23 New Braunfels Unicorn baseball team have been named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State team.

Second-team nods went to Kenny McMullen, Carter Lewis and Jackson Lee. Josh Lile and Zach Leal were named to the Academic All-State Honorable Mention team.
