FAQ For Applicants

Click on “I forgot my Username or Password” on the job listings page. Enter the email you used when you created your profile. You will receive an email directing you on how to change your password. 

Log in to your account and click “profile”. You will be able to update your profile information including your email address and password. 

You will receive an auto-generated email once your application has been successfully submitted. The email will include the position details. If you do not receive the email, you may log in to your account and click the “Application Status” tab to view the status of your application. If you do not see it under the application status, it was not successfully submitted. 

Once an application has been submitted for a position, it cannot be changed. You can however update your profile information by logging back into the application system and making necessary updates. Please note, if you withdraw your application you will not be able to reapply for that position. 

Unless a closing date is specifically listed, the position will be open until filled. Hiring managers review all applications that are received and will contact individuals they are interested in interviewing.

The posting will be closed once the hiring manager recommends an applicant for employment and the applicant has been cleared by Human Resources. 

You can sign up for job alerts on the main login page. Once this is done, you will receive weekly email notices of the jobs that the district has posted. 

You can attach reference letters but these are not in lieu of a completed survey. We ask that you provide at least three references that can complete the reference survey.

You are currently limited to a maximum of two (2) upload documents. These will carry over to other applications if you apply for more than one job.

At this time there is no way to upload different attachments for different jobs postings. If you overwrite your current attachments with new ones then the old versions will no longer be viewable by the district.

NBISD aims to hire the most qualified, fully credentialed candidates for teaching positions. Fully certified candidates will always be given preference in the screening and selection process for employment. NBISD, however, does hire teachers enrolled in Alternative Certification Programs when needed, provided that the programs are approved by TEA. All principals conduct their own interviewing and recommendations to hire. It is up to each individual principal if they want to consider someone in an Alternative Certification Program.
