We will welcome all new kindergarten students and parents into our elementary schools Tuesday, August 15th from 5:00 to 6:00pm  for Kinder Camp.

Kinder Camp is a great opportunity to tour your child's new classroom and school. This time allows your child and you to get a bit more comfortable with their new school environment before the first day. We can't wait to see you there!

Wednesday, AUGUST 16, 2023: 7:00pm

Come by New Braunfels High School on August 16th at 7:00pm for Meet the Unicorns! This is a fun for the whole community event sponsored by the NBHS All Sports Booster Club  where you can meet our 2023-24 UNICORNS! In this pep rally style event, we will introduce you to our athletic teams, band, cheer, dance and other student groups.

Event opens at 7pm with parade beginning at 7:30pm. More information regarding parking will be coming soon.

Meet-the-Teacher is a great opportunity to meet your child's teacher in person, tour the classroom and the school. You can also drop off school supplies as well so you don't have to send supplies with your child on first day of school. We look forward to seeing you all back in school soon!

The after-school program is operated by the YMCA of San Antonio and available for all elementary students at select school sites. A student shall show acceptable evidence of vaccination prior to entry, attendance, or transfer to a child-care facility or public or private elementary or secondary school in Texas.

Please provide your shot record to the School nurse if your child has received these vaccines.  Your student will not be able to receive a schedule or attend school until the shots are received and written record is provided.

New Braunfels Independent School District thanks you for taking part in our online athletic participation paperwork. The goal of accepting these forms electronically is to conserve resources and allow us to be more efficient in collecting these annually required documents. Any desktop computer, iPad, or smartphone can be used to complete and submit forms.

All forms, updated medical history, and ANNUAL physical, are required to be on file with the athletic training department prior to participation in any practice, scrimmage, or contest before, during, or after school. Medical History and ANNUAL Physical Exam WILL BE THE ONLY "PAPER" FORMS ACCEPTED.  Scanned PDF of these forms from home or your phone are also acceptable. Both Apple and Android phones have this capability. 

PHYSICALS MUST BE DATED AFTER MAY 1ST TO BE CONSIDERED CURRENT FOR THE FOLLOWING SCHOOL YEAR.
 
COVID-19 Update: UIL Requires all student-athletes testing positive for COVID-19 to have written clearance from a physician stating it is safe for your child to return to athletics. Generic return-to-school notes cannot be accepted. You can get a copy of the NBISD form by contacting the athletic trainers.

The District has a vital interest in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all students.  The use of illegal drugs poses serious health and safety risks to the user and those associated with the user.  The District intends drug testing to serve as a deterrent to the use of illegal drugs and to provide students with a viable reason to resist peer pressure to use illegal drugs. All students in grades 7 through 12 who participate in school-sponsored competitive extracurricular activities shall be required to undergo random drug testing. All students in grades 9 through 12 who receive a permit allowing them to park their vehicles on school property during the school day shall be required to undergo random drug testing.
