2016 NBISD District Teachers of the Year

New Braunfels ISD announced this year’s District Teachers of the Year on April 11 during a surprise visit to the teacher’s campus. NBISD has selected Ashley Henrich of Memorial Elementary as the Elementary Teacher of the Year and Jodi Coffey of New Braunfels High School as the Secondary Teacher of the Year.

Henrich is a 4th grade teacher and Coffey is a FOCUS teacher. Both were choses for an elite group of 12 Campus Teachers of the Year that applied for the honor by writing a handful of essays and sitting through a local interview panel. All of the 12 Campus Teachers of the Year, including Henrich and Coffey, were honored on April 18 during NBISD’s regular monthly board meeting.
