Testimonials

Shandra Medina NBISD Special Education Facilitator

I love working for NBISD because our district is always evolving to put our students and their needs first. I love being part of the Special Education Department to help advocate for this population of students, their needs, and helping teachers/staff provide services and accommodations. Being in NBISD 5+ years in the Special Education Department has allowed me to watch the students I serve continue to grow in so many ways! Each student is capable of learning, and I love being a part of all of the milestones and celebrations!

What I love about working for NBISD is the sense of community and family that I experience. Everyone is working toward a common goal and you can feel the passion and positive energy when you walk in the door. The love for students, community, and education is evident in everything we do.

Careers

New Braunfels ISD is a perfect career path for those who care about education.

When I started as a classroom aide for New Braunfels ISD, I never would've imagined I would one day serve in my current administrative role. I have had the privilege of working at several campuses and the Administration Center. At each location, I have worked with amazing people who have become lifelong friends and added much enjoyment to my daily work. As a graduate of NBISD myself, I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve the students, faculty, and staff and positively impact others the same way NBISD has affected me.
