How do students get approved for Remote Conferencing?
Campus principals will work with their nurse, PEIMS clerks and other designated staff to submit information on qualifying students via a google form for Remote Conferencing that will include start and end dates for Remote Conferencing. Campuses will make the initial contact with parents and communicate that it will take 24-48 hours to get into Remote Conferencing.
How long can a student be in Remote Conferencing?
The State of Texas allows for a maximum of 20 days of remote conferencing for the 2021-22 school year.
How do students get into the Remote Conferencing classroom?
Once approved by the campus, information will be shared with the Remote Specialists. Students will be emailed a link to the Google Site which will give directions on how to access Zoom. Please allow up to 24 to 48 hours for this process.
What happens if a student’s camera does not work?
State law requires that your camera is on at the attendance taking times. If your camera on your iPad does not work you will need to contact the technology department or join Zoom using your smartphone or other personal device.
