Two NBISD administrators announce plans to retire

Dr. Victoria Pursch, New Braunfels ISD Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction (2020)

NBISD Superintendent Randy Moczygemba has announced that two of his long-time cabinet members who have served alongside him for more than a decade will retire this school year. Dr. Victoria Pursch, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, along with Steve Brown, the executive director of business and operations, has made the decision to retire.

Pursch came to NBISD in 2007 to serve in her current position. She has been in education for the past 48 years. Before joining NBISD, she worked for San Antonio ISD as a teacher and administrator, at the Region 20 Education Service Center in San Antonio as a trainer and for Comal ISD in the Curriculum and Instruction Department.

Brown joined NBISD in 2010 to serve in his current position. He has worked in education since 1990. Prior to working in NBISD, he served as the Business Manager for Lamesa ISD and worked several years in the business sector.

“It has been a privilege to work with these two outstanding individuals for so many years,” said Moczygemba. “They have both contributed so much during their careers that we should all aspire to achieve as much as they have. I am truly grateful for their years of service and dedication to the youth of this community.”
