Three Lady Unicorns sign to play collegiately during fall signing day
11/10/2021

A total of three New Braunfels High School student-athletes signed their National Letters of Intent to play for the colleges of their choices next season. The trio of Lady Unicorns were joined by teammates, family, friends and coaches during the official signing ceremony, which was held in the NBHS Gym on Wednesday, Nov. 10.




Bradi Hill signed her letter of intent to play softball at Odessa College, a junior college in Odessa, Texas that competes in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference as part of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Hill’s athletic honors include being a 3-year letter winner and 2-time Academic All-District selection. Hill is the daughter of Jessi Fernandez, Abdali Fernandez, Jeramy Hill and Brenda Zercher.




Abby Lawson signed her letter of intent to play volleyball at Wheaton College, a NCAA Division III school that competes in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. Wheaton is located in Wheaton, Illinois, near Chicago. Lawson is a 2021 team captain and part of the bi-district champion team. She also was named to the all-tournament team at the Texas Showdown Tournament. Lawson has earned academic all-district honors in 2019, 2020, and 2021. She also earned 2nd team all-district honors for her play on the court in 2020. Lawson is the daughter of Scott and Rachel Lawson.





Averi Cruz signed her letter of intent to play softball at Arlington Baptist University, National Christian College Athletic Association Division II school in Arlington, Texas. Cruz is a 4-year letter winner for the Lady Unicorns. She also has been invited to the 2021 Academic Achievement games. Cruz also was invited to the AIST softball games to represent the United States in Italy. She is the daughter of Lisa Cruz.
