BOND APPROVED

The 2018 Bond Program was approved by voters on November 6, 2018. All of the projects were included in one proposition.

    NOTE: NBHS Ninth Grade Center will relocate to existing New Braunfels Middle School campus.
  • Security

    Cost: $6.6 million

    • Card readers at all campuses
    • Security bollards at all campus drop-off/pick-up areas
    • Security cameras at all elementary schools
    • Enclose/harden reception areas at schools
    • Electronic exterior door locks
    • Installation of ballistic glass film at campus entryways
  • Transportation

    Cost: $6 million

    • Parking lot maintenance, replacement and expansion for growth (built to TXDOT specs)
    • Purchase buses for growth and replace older buses (over 5-year period under short-term bond)
  • Technology

    Cost: $5.4 million

    (5-year cycle to be funded by short-term bond)

    • Student iPad replacements (3 grade levels each year over 4-year cycle)
    • Teacher & staff computer replacements (rotate over 5-year cycle)
    • Classroom technology upgrades and replacements (as needed)
    • District Wifi network and system upgrade
  • Athletics

    Cost: $3.4 million

    (Equates to 3% of overall bond package)

    • Construction of four (4) Tennis Courts to New Braunfels Middle School and Oak Run Middle School
      • Cost: $2.3 million
    • NBHS Baseball Field Renovations to include replacement of seating, press box and concessions
      • Cost: $1.1 million
