Welcome to NBISD!
Registration will be online for new students to NBISD. You will also need to provide the items listed below directly to the campus to complete the registration process. For questions or concerns regarding the registration process as well as times the campus will be open, please see the campus directory list below.
If you are new to the district, you will need to provide the items listed below.
Items You Will Need:
In order to comply with state and local mandates, as well as local school board policy, parents or guardians must produce the following documents:
Birth Certificate - Must be state-issued certified copy. Hospital birth certificates are not considered legal state certified birth certificates.
If your child was born in Texas, you can obtain a certified copy of your child's birth certificate from the Comal County Clerk's Office in the County Courthouse Annex Bldg., located at 199 Main Plaza, 1st Floor, New Braunfels, Texas. Parents can also request a copy online at www.texas.gov under the Vital Statistics link.
For information on how to obtain an out-of-state certified copy of your child's birth certificate, call the Clerk's Office at 830-221-1230 Option 5.
If a birth certificate is not available, the school may also accept a student passport, military ID, adoption records, or legal documentation that establishes a student's identity.
Social Security Card - Must be the child's card.
Immunization Record - Record of all immunizations and/or boosters. Documentation must have the physician's signature or clinic stamp. Month, day and year must be recorded for each shot.
Residency Verification - When you enroll your child, you must provide your Texas Driver's License or Texas ID which lists your current address and at least one of the following documents to prove you live within the New Braunfels ISD:
If your family is residing with another NBISD resident, a Residency Form will need to be completed at the campus. Both the parent/guardian, and the NBISD resident will need to make an appointment with the campus secretary. The NBISD resident will need to provide proof of residency and the campus principal must approve all forms.

NBISD Student Health Services has licensed the Frontline Health Portal to provide you with convenient, 24-hour online access to items in your child’s health record. Using a secure username and password, you can view district-designated health information, communicate with our health & wellness staff, review/sign forms, and even provide the district with new information from outside health services received by your child. Look for more information about logging in and setting up the portal for your child/children at the start of the school year! UPDATE (7/13/2021): All meals are currently available at no cost to students 18 and younger through the 2021-2022 school year. This does not include a la carte items or extra items selected from the cafeteria lines. CLICK HERE for more details.

The District has a vital interest in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all students. The use of illegal drugs poses serious health and safety risks to the user and those associated with the user. The District intends drug testing to serve as a deterrent to the use of illegal drugs and to provide students with a viable reason to resist peer pressure to use illegal drugs. All students in grades 7 through 12 who participate in school-sponsored competitive extracurricular activities shall be required to undergo random drug testing. All students in grades 9 through 12 who receive a permit allowing them to park their vehicles on school property during the school day shall be required to undergo random drug testing.

For the benefit of parents who do not have insurance or have limited health insurance, the school district is making available a Voluntary Student/Athletic Accident Insurance Plan.

The after-school program is operated by the YMCA of San Antonio and available for all elementary students at select school sites. Schools are clustered at different sites each year with transportation provided between campuses. For more information or to register, CLICK HERE or call (210) 924-2277.
